• Design, modeling and simulation of antennas and RF components.
• Knowledge of SW tools for the design of antennas and RF systems.
• Testing of antennas and passive RF components.
• Support embedded software development
• Coding and debugging embedded software for Space hardware.
• Software integration into flight hardware and validation.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Bachelor or higher Engineering degree in relevant areas (electronic or space engineering, automation, computer science,…)

Nice to have:
•Hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand space data requirements and business objectives in the optical and RF domains.
  • Design, implement and understand algorithms for data processing, particularly tailored to optical and RF datasets.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines specific to optical and RF data for efficient processing and analysis.
  • Utilize strong competencies in MATLAB for algorithm development and analysis.
  • Transfer MATLAB models to embedded electronics using various programming languages.
  • Leverage knowledge of AI techniques to enhance data analytics capabilities.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to extract valuable insights from optical and RF datasets.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Space engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in data engineering and analytics
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm development and analysis.
  • Experience transferring MATLAB models to embedded electronics using languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of AI techniques and their application in data analytics.

  • Utilize expertise in satellite software architecture to understand and operate nanosatellite COTS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications for satellite missions.
  • Gain a basic understanding of satellite operations to ensure software alignment with mission objectives.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware issues in satellite on-board systems.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++.

Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer experienced in the development of on-board software (OBSW) for satellite missions, with a particular focus on CubeSats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, development, integration, and testing of OBSW and will be able to work closely with systems engineering and mission teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop on-board software for space mission, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering teams to define software requirements and mission specifications.
  • Integrate and test software with satellite hardware, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging throughout all phases of the satellite lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support for post-launch mission operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably for space applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Experience with satellite communication protocols and mission control systems.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CubeSat platforms and components such as OBC, TTC, and telemetry instruments.
  • Familiarity with software development and simulation tools for space applications.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
